SYNOPSIS

National immunization programmes globally have been disrupted due to the severe health system constraints caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the public health and social measures to mitigate the outbreak. I will present health impact modeling studies and economic perspectives on disruptions to routine childhood immunization and vaccination campaigns.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Kaja Abbas is an Assistant Professor of Disease Modeling at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. His research area is vaccine impact modeling with a focus on estimating the health, economic, and equity impact of vaccination programmes and supporting decision-making at the global, regional, and national levels.
