Astana Civil Service Hub, Association of National Partnership Platform “Public Accounting” and NU Graduate School of Public Policy co-organized the workshop “Estonian e-health information system: experience, challenges and prospects.”

Estonia is one of the world leaders in the field of digital public administration, including e-health. In 2008 Estonia became the first country in the world, which fully implemented electronic medical records. At the same time, the informationcontained in such patient records is a medical history of the individual from birth to death.
In 2009, Estonia has used the mechanism for the exchange of health information to upload all health documents into the system. Therefore, Estonia’s experience in this field can be useful for Kazakhstan. The seminar was held by Dr. Madis Tiik, who, as Advisor to the President of Estonia, participated in the working group on the development of information system e-health.
