Serik Orazgaliyev

Education Background: Ph.D. in Development Studies, University of Cambridge (UK)
Dr. Serik Orazgaliyev has been with GSPP since 2016 first as an Instructor, Assistant Professor and currently as an Associate Professor and Co-Chair of Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) country chapter in Kazakhstan. He taught in Asian Universities Alliance (AUA) Lecture Series, attended by students from thirteen AUA universities in China, Japan, India, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, UAE and other countries. He was awarded NU Teaching Award in 2022 in ‘Internationalization’ category.
Dr. Orazgaliyev’s research appeared in International Journal of the Commons, Sustainability, Journal of Eurasian Studies and Thunderbird International Business Review. He was awarded a three-year (2022-2024) research grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan and was also a recipient of AUA Scholars Award (2019) and Bolashak International Scholarship (2012). He provided consultancy services to several government agencies in Kazakhstan, Asian Development Bank as well as for UNDP and OECD-led projects.
