At the Graduate School of Public Policy, our research in Governance and Public Administration is dedicated to transforming public sector performance across Kazakhstan and Central Asia. We focus on modernizing administrative systems, enhancing institutional transparency, and improving civil service effectiveness by integrating global best practices with regional insights, empowering governments to build trust and deliver impactful outcomes for their citizens.

The Graduate School of Public Policy advances research in National Identity and Social Policy to strengthen social cohesion in post-Soviet Central Asia. By exploring nation-building, civic identity, and equitable social frameworks, we develop policies that tackle inequality, enhance education, and promote inclusion, empowering communities to thrive in a rapidly evolving region.

Our Climate and Environmental Policy research at GSPP addresses Kazakhstan’s pressing environmental challenges with actionable, science-driven solutions. We focus on advancing renewable energy adoption, sustainable resource management, and climate change mitigation strategies, aligning regional efforts with global commitments to safeguard ecosystems and ensure a resilient future for generations to come.
