The SDSN Kazakhstan Secretariat has contributed with two presentations in the Annual Research Conference of CAREC Institute Resilience and Economic Growth in Times of High Uncertainty in CAREC Region.

The two presentations were focusing on priorities pursued by SDSN Kazakhstan and were titled as  ”Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Economic Development in Kazakhstan and implications for Central Asia” and ”Sustainable Land Use Resources and Food Systems in Kazakhstan and implications in the wider Central Asian region” . 

Both presentations reflect the findings of a full study that will be completed and published by the CAREC Institute in due course. It is also mentioned that the study on the land use was developed with the major contribution of the FAO Partnership and Liaison Office in the Republic of Kazakhstan” 

Organized in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank Institute and Asian Development Bank, the second CAREC Institute Research Conference takes place on 11-12 April 2022 on the theme “Resilience and Economic Growth in Times of High Uncertainty in CAREC Region” in a virtual mode. Its focus areas span from Green Economy and Sustainable Development, Understanding Current Business Risks and Regional Cooperation to Sustainable Agriculture and Food security.

The SDSN Kazakhstan under the umbrella of the global SDSN was approved as a National Network hosted by Nazarbayev University in January 2022.
