Roundtable Discussion on the 30th Anniversary Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan

SYNOPSIS

Since obtaining its independence in 1991, Kazakhstan has illustrated rapid development and continuous steady growth. The country celebrates the 30th anniversary of its independence in 2021. The Embassy of Kazakhstan is holding a round to discuss the internal and external policies that paved the way for Kazakhstan’s success, share the information on current projects and identify opportunities for future development.

The friendship of Singapore and Kazakhstan began 30 years ago when the late Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew visited the country for the first time. Since then, Kazakhstan has proven to be a trustworthy partner of Singapore in the Central Asian region. Kazakhstan attaches a great importance to the continuous development of fruitful and long-term relations with the Republic of Singapore in the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation including nation building, economy development, and social transformation.

Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy remains a strong advocate of Singapore-Kazakhstan partnership with joint programmes on public administration and policy-making.
