GSPP took part in the 3d International Conference on Public Policy in Singapore with more than 1300 participants from over 80 countries making the conference the largest international event on Public Policy in the world. Dean Weng Tat Hui delivered a welcome address on 28 June 2017. GSPP Dean said, “It’s an outstanding achievement to be able to host the international conference of such kind with multiple panels, plenary sessions, and outstanding researchers. I would like to congratulate the LKY School of Public Policy with this achievement. We aim to model the success and achievements of the LKY School. We hope that one day we will be able to host such international conference on public policy in Central Asia.”

Prof. Colin Knox and Dr. Saltanat Janenova co-chaired a research panel entitled “The Realities of Public Policy and Management Reforms in Central Asia.” The co-chaired panels went with active discussions on all 8 research papers presented.

Dr. Iftikhar Lodhi chaired a panel titled, “Policy Regimes Framework: Towards Better Theories of the Policy Process.” Participants from 8 different countries including Kazakhstan, Vietnam, South Africa, Australia, Israel, Korea, India, and Taiwan presented and discussed their papers.
