Graduate School of Public Policy

NU GSPP Alumni Chapter is organizing “Policy Challenge” on May 14, 2022. This event is supported by NU GSPP, NU Alumni Public Union, Astana Civil Service Hub and the Public Administration Department of the Executive Office of the President of Kazakhstan.

NU Master and PhD students, as well as Alumni, are invited to research, brainstorm, design, and present their team’s policy proposals on current issues in the two-round competition. Format: There would be 7 teams of 5 people each from NU, Bolashak Alumni Association and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan.

Participants: current Master’s and PhD students, as well as alumni. There are no restrictions on specialties and age.

Deadlines:

• April 29: deadline for submitting an application for participation
• April 30: the 1st round – the teams will receive a description of the case with the task and homework and will take part in the infosession.
• May 7: workshop on policy brief.
• May 14: the 2nd round – participants will test their speed and quality of decision-making in an improvisational format.

Winners will receive valuable prizes and gifts from the organizers and sponsors of the event.
