Admissions update: Duolingo English Test (DET) will be accepted till June 10, 2020
21.04.2020Due to unforeseen circumstances as a result of COVID-19 Coronavirus Infection Pandemic and in response to the temporary closings of testing centers, within the competition for the 2020-2021 academic year Nazarbayev University decided to consider candidates for graduate programs who are not able to provide IELTS/TOEFL with minimum passing score based on Duolingo English Test (DET) examination results for tests taken between March 16 and June 10, 2020. The Duolingo English Test will be accepted as an alternative to TOEFL and IELTS for proof of English proficiency for impacted applicants. DET examination should be taken and provided to Admissions Department till June 10, 2020.
If submitting the Duolingo English Test, a minimum score of 105 (IELTS 6.5/TOEFL 79) or 115 (IELTS 7.0/TOEFL 94) will be required for admission. Candidates with scores between 80 and 100 can be considered for Nazarbayev University Zero Year Program (NUZYP).
DET examination should be taken and provided to Admissions Department till June 10, 2020.
Graduate Admission will receive all DET applicants’ results on graduate.admissions@nu.edu.kz.
