SDSN approved the appointment of Nazarbayev University as host of the SDSN National Network for Kazakhstan

The Networks Strategy Council of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) has approved the appointment of Nazarbayev University as host of the SDSN National Network for Kazakhstan, under the umbrella of the global SDSN.

The SDSN is the world’s leading knowledge network for the research and education initiatives on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDSN mobilizes the academic community to translate the latest expertise in sustainable development into action. To this end, SDSN has developed a global network of universities, research centers, and other knowledge institutes focusing on:

  • Providing and mobilizing support for the SDGs
  • Promoting practical Solution Initiatives and long-term pathways for sustainable development
  • Promoting high-quality education and research collaboration for sustainable development
  • Supporting governments in understanding and addressing the challenges of sustainable development

The SDSN global network aims to enable a large number of leaders from all regions and diverse backgrounds to participate in the development of the network. SDSN has created three main Secretariat Hubs in New York, USA; Paris, France and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to facilitate this work.  SDSN Kazakhstan comprises 15 members of prestigious universities, research institutes, non-governmental organizations and institutes affiliated with international organizations.  There is an ongoing membership expansion of the network.
