NU Graduate School of Public Policy announces the start of online application to the PhD program for the 2024-2025 academic year

Please be kindly informed that the online application for PhD in Public Policy program of Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Public Policy for the 2024-2025 academic year is open now! Hurry up to apply online!

The online application period for the NU GSPP PhD program will be available:

  • for International applicants – March 4, 2024 (1 p.m. Astana time);
  • for the citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan – April 22, 2024 (1 p.m. Astana time).

To participate in the selection process, applicants must fulfill the following steps:

1. Register on the admissions.nu.edu.kz portal and create a Personal account;

2. Complete the Application form and attach the required scanned copies of the documents listed in the Personal account.

3. Press the «Pay and submit application» button to pay a non-refundable application fee and submit your application.

The application fee is 10 000 tenge (for the citizens of Kazakhstan and International applicants). The application fee is increased 3 times when paid within the last two weeks before the first approved deadline and during the extension period (if applicable) for accepting applications for participation in the admission process. This amount is non-refundable.

It is not possible to make changes to the Application form and documents after submission.

4. Submit IELTS/TOEFL results according to the instructions in the Personal account.

Important:

In order to submit IELTS/TOEFL and GRE/GMAT (if applicable) certificate results to Nazarbayev University, the official electronic results of valid certificates must be sent directly to Nazarbayev University by the Test Administrator. The applicant also needs to upload a scanned copy of the certificate to his/her Personal account. Detailed Instructions and requirements are available in the Personal account.

Some applicants may be exempt from submitting English language test scores. For more information, please go to the page “Admissions” – “Types of programs” – “Doctoral Degree Programs”.

Check the NU website for updates, the email you provided in the Application form, and also your Personal account to track the status of your application. In case of any problems with the registration, online application, providing test results, please send a request to phd_admissions@nu.edu.kz with your Applicant ID (a number assigned in your Personal account) and the program name.
