Graduate School of Public Policy

GSPP gathered Ethics Commissioners from the central ministries and regions of Kazakhstan for the “Promoting Ethics and Integrity in the Civil Service: International Practice and Kazakhstani Experience” Executive Education program lead by Dr. Saltanat Janenova and Dr. Riccardo Pelizzo. A one-day seminar focused on two aspects: international experience; and challenges and perspectives. Lectures and presentations by participants following the work in groups drove exchange of ideas and recommendations to address current issues. Ethics Commissioners is a new notion introduced in Kazakhstan’s civil service. Participants highlighted that it required theoretical knowledge to mediate and help resolving problems within organization. GSPP received a positive feedback and request to cooperate in promoting Code of conduct and ethical behavior.
