On January 16, 2024 a meeting was held between the School’s leadership and the director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KazISS), Erkin Valitkhanovich Tukumov, as well as the deputy director, Zholdybalina Alua Serikovna.

NU GSPP Dean, Weng Tat Hui, presented an overview of the school’s activities, its mission and plans for the future. During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation between the GSPP and KazISS in the field of scientific research were discussed.

A significant focus was placed on the possibility of joint work in research, including within the framework of the SDSN center, as well as the organization of joint scientific conferences.

The parties exchanged views on how this cooperation can contribute to the scientific development of both organizations and contribute to solving pressing issues in the field of public policy.
