Nazarbayev University Vice President Dr. Assel Uvaliyeva, Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Public Policy (NU GSPP) acting Dean Dr. Riccardo Pelizzo and chief Administrative Officer Assel Mussabayeva visited the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on March 12 to meet with colleagues and discuss ways to strengthen the long-standing partnership between our institutions, which has been developing since 2012.
During the meeting, the new Doctor of Public Management (DPM) program was introduced. The program is designed to allow civil servants to pursue a doctoral degree without interrupting their professional careers.
Together with the Academy’s leadership, we also discussed future areas of collaboration.
In particular, plans are underway to organize a joint conference focused on key issues relevant to Kazakhstan, including water resource management, the development and practical application of artificial intelligence in the public sector, and environmental challenges.
Most importantly, both institutions share a common mission is to strengthen the capacity of civil servants, develop the country’s human capital, and contribute to improving public administration in Kazakhstan. Collaboration and partnership remain essential in achieving these goals.
