The Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Public Policy (NU GSPP) successfully hosted its Open House Day 2025 on September 27, welcoming prospective students, parents, and guests eager to learn more about the School’s academic offerings and community.
The event began with an insightful public lecture by Associate Professor Ömer Barış, titled “Experimental Methods in Public Policy.” During the session, participants explored how real-world experiments—rather than only observational data—combined with behavioral insights can enhance the design and implementation of effective public policy.
Following the lecture, the School held a program presentation, where representatives introduced GSPP’s academic programs, including the Master in Public Policy (MPP), Master in Public Administration (MPA), PhD in Public Policy, and Doctor of Public Management (DPM). The presentation also covered admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, and provided a platform for prospective applicants to ask questions and engage directly with the School’s faculty and staff.
The event provided participants with valuable insights into the School’s academic environment, research focus, and its mission to prepare the next generation of public policy professionals and leaders.
