Dr. Simeon Nanovsky joined the Graduate School of Public Policy (GSPP) in 2017. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Kentucky. Before joining the School, Dr. Nanovsky was teaching as Visiting Professor at the University of North Florida. His research interests include international economics; and macroeconomics. He has published papers on the crossroads of international trade and international finance. Most recently he has done research on Kazakhstan and the region including working papers on macroeconometric modeling, exchange rate and trade behavior, and the spread of COVID-19.
