GSPP 29 MPP and 21 MPA students headed off to Singapore on 10 July 2018 within the frames of GSPP Singapore component. The first part of the MPA course on “Accountability, Financial and Performance Management” took place on 15 June – 24 June 2018. This module was taught by Donald Low, Advisor to Executive Education at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.

The module is focused on the key economic concepts that are relevant to financial management in the public sector, the causes and consequences of the global financial crisis of 2008-2009, and the financial challenges that many emerging economies (such as Kazakhstan) are grappling with today. All this sets the stage for the second part of the module, which will examine the tools and frameworks commonly used in public sector financial management, performance management and accountability.
The second part of the module will be delivered by LKY School professors in Singapore as part of the MPA Singapore Component.
