GSPP’s strategic partner Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and Institute of Water Policy held a virtual research seminar: The Aral Sea Basin: Water for Sustainable Development in Central Asia on August 17, 2020. 

This webinar is based on a recent work will offer a multidisciplinary overview of water resources issues and management in the Aral Sea Basin, covering both the Amu Darya and Syr Darya River basins. 

The talk included a focus on the future of water sector development in the Basin, including a review of local and international actors, as well as an analysis of progress towards meeting the Sustainable Development Goals pursued by riparian Basin countries.
